On Saturday, October 10, luxury ship The World by Residensea will arrive at the Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center for an overnight stay. The 644-foot ship is due to arrive at 6 p.m. and depart the following afternoon. The World is the world’s largest residential ship; it is the vessel’s first visit to Norfolk.

“We’re thrilled to welcome The World and its residents to Norfolk,” said Nauticus Executive Director, Stephen E. Kirkland. “It’s a true testament to the city that the ship is making a port call here.”

Since its launch in 2002, this ultra-exclusive vessel of 165 individual homes has continuously circumnavigated the globe, spending extensive time in many exotic and well-traveled ports. The World’s residents not only own their respective units, they also collectively own the ship and plan the itineraries of each journey.

All proceeds from purchases go to the Nauticus Foundation, which helps fund many of our education and restoration projects.
